Blackbear United High School Soccer Academy

The Blackbear United High School Soccer Academy - headed by two full-time, USSF A-licensed coaches combines the elements necessary for developing the player, student, and person. The HS Academy is designed for male and female players ages (14-19) who want to improve their individual skills while still being able to participate in different sports with the option of playing an outdoor league schedule in the spring. Players from the academy can be selected for premier teams based on their age and the need of those teams.

Through Academy training and club play, participants are exposed to high levels of intensive training and competition on a regular basis.

Academy sessions include technical and tactical instruction, individual attention, and concern for the development of every aspect of a player's game.

Academy players are prepared for the challenges of soccer at the High School, NEDL (New England Development League) and premier levels.

The Soccer Academy player development philosophy fosters growth as complete players and people. This happens in a fun, highly competitive, and strongly committed environment, equipping players to demand the best of themselves on and off the field.

Through knowledgeable and careful implementation of the player development philosophy, the Soccer Academy imparts to each player a set of life lessons and permanent values that will serve them well beyond the soccer field.

Training and Tuition

The Blackbear United High School Academy offers a winter and spring session and trains on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm at Fields4Kids in Bangor. Players can register for either session based on their schedules or sign up for all three sessions and receive $75 discount. There is a cap of 20 players per session. Players registered for three sessions are guaranteed enrollment in NEDL League play.

Full Academy Program - $600.00 (December 6^th 2011 – June 14^th, 2012)

*Winter Session I ($225.00) – December 6th, 2011 – February 7th, 2012 (8 weeks)

*Winter Session II ($225.00) – February 14^th, 2012 – April 10^th, 2012 (8 weeks)

*Spring Session ($225.00) – April 24^th 2012 – June 12^th, 2012 (8 weeks)

*Each session costs $225.00 or you can sign up for “Full Academy Program” at the reduced rate of $600.00. All academy players must purchase the 2011/12 “Academy” Adidas Training Kit for $25.00 which includes Jersey, Short, and Socks.
