Youth Academy
WHAT IS IT?
The Blackbear Academy is geared toward younger players aged 4-12 who want to learn the game of soccer from a top level coaching staff, and for those in need a high level of training so that they can develop as players. Each training session will focus on individual techniques, small sided games and FUN, FUN, FUN!! The Academy will serve as an identification program for our developmental teams, future premier players, and is an avenue for young players to learn from top coaches at a relatively young age. The Academy is a training supplement to recreation, travel and school team players who are currently playing on teams. The Academy will teach players of all ages a proven curriculum that is second to none.
WHO IS THE COACHING STAFF?
The Blackbear Academy offers a top level coaching staff that focuses on teaching the game in a fun learning environment while promoting a healthy lifestyle. The academy staff includes licensed coaches who coach for Blackbear United FC under the direction of MJ Ball who is the co-founder of Blackbear United and has a USSF “A” national license. WHEN IS IT?
Blackbear United offers a fall, winter, and a spring session. Each session offers weeknight training on Thursdays and a game day on Saturdays. All training and game days are held at the Fields4Kids Indoor Sports Facility located in Bangor, Maine.
Academy Schedule
Youth Academy training is on Thursday nights at the following times:
5:30pm - 6:30pm: Ages 4, 5 & 6 | Ages 7 & 8
6:30pm - 7:30pm: Ages 9 & 10 | Ages 11 & 12
Youth Academy game days are on Saturday mornings at the following times:
9:00am - 10:00am: Ages 4, 5 & 6 | Ages 7 & 8
10:00am - 11:00am: Ages 9 & 10 | Ages 11 & 12

Academy Tuition
$165 - *Fall Session (9 Weeks)- All Players

There is a maximum of 20 players per age group so sign up today!!
The adidas academy uniform package (jersey, shorts, socks and shoes) can be purchased for $50 for players who attend individual sessions only.
The tuition covers facility rental, coaching fees, uniform and equipment.

Blackbear United accepts checks, cash payments and can run credit cards at the Fields4Kids facility. Checks should be made payable to "Blackbear United" and mailed to:
