Coach Kacer was raised in a military family and exposed to soccer at an early age. He was trained by a Spanish professional soccer player for three years in Syracuse, New York. Joe was a place kicker for the Brewer High School football team and has coached for Bangor Soccer Club levels Pre-K to U12. Joe has also coached baseball, basketball, tennis and skiing. Joe stressed conditioning and the use of both fee in passing and shooting skills.

He is a licensed commercial diver and diving medical technician. Coach Kacer lives in Bangor with his wife who is from South Hampton, England and their five children. He holds his USSF E license.
